EAMES REINVENTED

IT'S BEEN 65 YEARS SINCE CHARLES AND RAY EAMES RELEASED THE ORIGINAL MOLDED FIBERGLASS CHAIR, WHICH WAS LATER DISCONTINUED BECAUSE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE FROM FIBERGLASS PRODUCTION. IN 2001, HERMAN MILLER RELEASED A REVAMPED VERSION OF THE ORIGINAL DESIGN, WHICH FABRICATED THE CHAIRS FROM RECYCLABLE POLYPROPYLENE INSTEAD OF FIBERGLASS, MAKING THE HIGH END ERGONOMIC CHAIRS ACCESSIBLE TO EAMES FANS AROUND THE WORLD.
