EQUINOX OBESESSIONS

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT LIVING ON THE EAST COAST IS SEASONS, AND FALL IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE. THE COOLER WEATHER, CHANGING LEAVES, AND EVEN THE RAIN ARE WELCOMING STARTS TO A NEW BEGINNING. THE EQUINOX, FOLLOWED BY THE TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE OF A SUPERMOON OR "BLOODMOON", MADE FOR A MAGICAL INTRODUCTION TO THE SEASON THIS YEAR.  I LOVE THE FACT THAT STYLE AND TASTE TRANSITION WITH THE WEATHER, AND FALL MAKES ME WANT TO HOLE UP IN MY NEST WITH GIGANTIC BEAUTIFUL BOOKS, HOT TEA, CANDLES, AND HANDMADE CERAMICS. I'M A HUGE FAN OF NEUTRALS, AND THERE'S NOTHING BETTER TO EASE INTO WINTER THAN BEING SURROUNDED BY SHADES OF GREY, OFF-WHITE, AND OF COURSE BLACK.

ARTFUL KITCHEN

I AM A STRONG BELIEVER THAT OBJECTS IN THE KITCHEN CAN BE EQUAL PARTS FUNCTIONAL + AESTHETICALLY PLEASING TO THE EYE. THAT BEING SAID, WHY MUST EVERYTHING NOWADAYS BE MADE OF PLASTIC? I RECENTLY CLEANED OUT/ORGANIZED/OVERHAULED THE CONTENTS OF MY KITCHEN, AND REPLACED ALL OF THE HORRIBLE GROCERY-GRADE PLASTIC WITH GLASS AND HANDMADE CERAMICS (FOUND AT THE THRIFT STORE OR GIVEN TO ME BY FAMILY). EVERYDAY OBJECTS CAN BE BEAUTIFUL AS WELL AS USEFUL, EVEN IF IT IS A UTILITARIAN SPACE HOUSING THEM. KOROMIKO IS ONE OF MANY ONLINE GEMS WITH CREATIVE, FUNCTIONAL KITCHEN CERAMICS.
